Rhodes Island - Faliraki - Ladiko Beach

Ladiko beach, only 17 km away from the Rhodes Town and 1500 meters from Faliraki is definitely one of the most romantic spots of the Rhodes island. Lying on the northeastern coast Ladiko became famous after the Anthony Quinn's movie "The Guns of Navarone" which was filmed here. Quinn himself, charmed by the unspoiled beauty of Ladiko Bay, owned a part of it, named, how else than "Anthony Quinn beach".

The huge scenic rocks make Ladiko waters ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling, attracting many young passionate. The beach might get crowded at your Rhodes Holidays in August, but in rest is the perfect alternative to the nearby noisy Faliraki beach in the North or to the lively Afandou beach to the South. The romantic scenery is completed by the many sailing boats dropping anchor in Ladiko bay, and you can even rent a jetty to admire the sunset on the sea. Very close to Ladiko Bay visitor can visit the old fortress which is called Erimokastro.

Relax in the idyllic atmosphere of Ladiko beach, on your sun bed, under a shady umbrella
or with traditional ouzo and fresh fish at the small cozy hotel taverna on the top of the bay.
